I love that cat at the bottom of the second page!

What sort of marker do you use to draw these? Is it just a sharpie or something else?

Thanks!

I use a "Faber-Castell" pen for everything. The one I generally use for sketchbooks has an "S" on the cap.

Thanks. If I can ask one more question, is that a smaller sketch book, or do you have a larger scanner? I guess what I mean is what are the dimensions? I have a 8 1/2 by 11 scanner, but that seems like it'd be too small to scan most sketch books.

It's a fairly small sketchbook. I don't have it with me right now so I don't know the exact measurements, but it's probably about the size of a piece of printer paper folded in half, I would say.

I do use an 11 x 17 scanner that the school I live near has for larger comics and drawings. If it's not handy, I'll just scan in smaller pieces.

Do you have comics online anywhere?

Thanks! I guess I will have access to larger scanners when I start back to school myself in a month.

I don't have any comics online yet. I just finished my first one in years (a four pager), though it needs to be inked. I never got much into inking when I was doing comics before, because I'm left handed, and my hand tends to smudge a lot.

I took an autobio comics class with local cartoonists Dave Lasky and Greg Stump, and that got me working on stuff again (thank god!). I've been too focused on writing and career and a failed marriage for years, so it's good to get back to this stuff. When I get that comic on line, I'll post a link to you, if you like. It's called "I am a reptile, wishing I was an amphibian."
